Azerbaijan’s President Meets UAE Foreign Minister in High-Level Talks

(MENAFN) Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held talks on Tuesday with a United Arab Emirates delegation led by Foreign Minister Saeed Bin Mubarak Al Hajeri during a meeting in the northern city of Gabala.

According to the presidential press service, the discussions focused on strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors, including political relations, trade, energy, renewable energy development, and economic investment. The two sides also reviewed the activities of a joint investment fund and explored collaboration on joint military exercises.

The talks additionally touched on broader regional developments, with both parties emphasizing the importance of resolving conflicts in the Middle East through diplomatic channels, as stated in the official briefing.

Aliyev described bilateral relations as developing successfully on the basis of a “strategic partnership” between Azerbaijan and the UAE. He also highlighted the importance of Al Hajeri’s visit, noting that his arrival with a large delegation reflects efforts to further deepen ties between the two countries.
